Message from the President

Dear ASCE Sacramento Section Members,

As we welcome the New Year, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible achievements we accomplished together in 2024 and excitement for the opportunities ahead in 2025. Our members’ dedication to advancing civil engineering and building a sustainable future has been inspiring and transformative.

Over the past year, we have celebrated remarkable milestones, including hosting the California Infrastructure Symposium, recognizing outstanding individuals and projects at our Annual Awards Banquet, and continuing our advocacy for critical infrastructure investment through legislative engagement. These accomplishments highlight our community’s strength and our impact in shaping the future.

Looking forward, 2025 presents new challenges and opportunities. Together, we will focus on:

  • Expanding our professional membership to attract new members and young engineers.
  • Developing programs to equip engineers with the tools to thrive in a dynamic industry.
  • Advocating for resilient, sustainable infrastructure that meets the needs of future generations.
  • Strengthening partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and private-sector organizations to advance innovation in civil engineering.
  • Supporting the next generation of engineers through scholarships, mentorship, and STEM outreach.

I encourage each of you to stay engaged, participate in our events, and contribute to our shared vision of creating a better world through civil engineering. Your passion and expertise are the foundation of our success as a Section.

As we embark on this journey together, let us remain committed to our mission and embrace the challenges ahead with determination and creativity. Thank you for being an integral part of the ASCE Sacramento Section.

Wishing you and your families a prosperous and inspiring New Year!

Sincerely,

Amit Sudhir Joshi, PE
